Little Clacton Village Hall & Harold Lilley Playing FieldLittle Clacton Village Hall was originally built for the local Rifleman’s
Club in 1935. The money for the project was all raised locally and it was
actually built by volunteers. The Lord Lieutenant of Essex, Sir Richard
Colvin, officially opened the hall on 20th May 1935. This was the season
of the Silver Jubilee of King George V and the Rifle Club Hall as it
became known served to commemorate that occasion. The Rifle Club
eventually moved to a more secure site elsewhere, but always retained the
name of Little Clacton Rifle Club. The Village Hall has since been extended and is now run by a trust. It boasts a well-appointed kitchen and bar area, a fairly large stage with extensions if necessary and a snooker hall with a full size table. For more details of bookings etc. please contact: Mrs. J.
